I remember seeing back somewhere on streetfire a guy using a leaf blower directly on the intake of a Chev S-10. Gained 40 hp, from like 190 to 230.
Was kinda weird, but it sure looked like nitrous was used.

After a few minutes of wasted reading on Google searches for electric s/c'ers it looks like they're useless, but could 'help' in drawing in air, a slight bit. But the ones shown on the ebay page listed don't even look like they provide a straight shot into the tb... so how is that helping efficiency any?!
One more useless idea; an intake, tb and tune are sufficient. This toy, looks to be a waste of money, I think i'd rather buy the even more pathetic Tornado before considering this, at least the Toanado would have better umm... reliability...

These "Electric Superchargers" are used on motorboats. I guess someone thought it would be a good cash grab to market for automotive use.
I'd be tempted to see if anyone actually used one with any success. |
