How To Remove Urethane Based Paint
#1
Any suggestions or ideas how to get urethane based paint off a pair of pants I have, I was helping my dad clean up after he painted his car and I got some on me. I've tried paint thinner, bleach, degreaser, and now they are soaking with a spot removal, anything else I could try

You need a commercial grade paint thinner. The first time I used this at work I thought I would clean myself up ( hands that is) and rub a litttle on my hands only to have a burning sensation and swearing profusely.

Oh Ya.............shiver me timbers.

lacquer thinner... plain and simple.

But if there's any synthetic material in those pants, expect that to get disolved as well. I think there's a nylon container that I had it in that it didn't melt, but rubber, vinyl, plastics.. a lot of GI Joes and a couple of bike parts paid the ultimate price. but you'd never have a cleaner bike chain.
