You Know You're Getting Old When:

You see that car and the first thing that crosses your mind is "How much would it cost to convert that into a replica of K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider"?

$600 for the front nose cone
$1200 for the dash conversion
$300 for the gull wing steering wheel
$150 for the scanner light
$100 to 300 for the PMD seats
$100 to 400 for the 15" rims with the bowling ball hubcaps
$150 for the VOX overlays
$75 for the upper console
$2000 for the T-Top conversion
$100 for the 82-85 rear bumper
$1500 for the pearl black paint job.
$150 for the hood with the power buldge

I think thats everything.

What happened to your skills with the focus?   :P

Yeah I did some minor mods to it.

the car came stock with the 305 TBI and a 700R4 Auto tranny

Last year i did the following work to it.

Suspension and handling
------------------------------------
TDS Subframe connectors
TDS Wonder Bar/Steering brace
TDS Rear Sway Bar
TDS Poly Ureathane Bushings

Performance
--------------------------------
Magnaflow 3.5" off the Shorty headers
3.5" Y Pipe
3.5" Hi Flow Magnaflow cat
3.5" -> dual 2.5" Magnaflow hiflow Muffler
Mr. Gasket Open Air intake
TBI Chips Stage one Chip

This year I have done the following.

Performance
----------------------------------
2.73 One tire fire rear end replaced with 3.73 Posi
Mr. Gasket POS filter replaced with K&N highrise filter
35% Underdrive pulleys. Crank and alt
LT1 Cam
Casting 081 Heads to replace stock crappy Swirly port heads
Custom burnt chip (by me)
454 TBI unit w/ fuel pod spacers and 55lb injectors
Hi Flow Fuel pump 180klph(I think...)
9mm MSD spark plug wires
Pontiac Platinum OEM replacement spark plugs
OEM coil, OEM cap, OEM rotor

I know I am missing something here but I can't remember what else we put into this car.

I have no clue what this car's horsepower is at however its pretty peppy off the line and unlike stock will pull hard straigt to 5500rpms (stock it would die at 3000rpm).

Next year i might get crazy and drop a race tuned 350 in it and really light up the streets. 350 was quoted 425hp @ 515lbs tq at the crank. Complete Vortech setup.
