Either a strut bearing, shot strut, broken front spring, or engine mount.

Quick and easy ways to determine the problem.

1)Drive in a quck left-right zigzag. If you hear knocking, endlinks.

2)Reach in behind your wheel and grab the endlink, it's easy to find. If you can move it at all, it needs replacing.

It should be done anyways, so head to canadian tire and buy thier end links. they are about 10X as good as the stock ones or what Ford will sell you. They will likely last longer than your Focus.

buy some roush or saleen front end links. They are the exact same thing as the OEM ones but they have a logo on it and they come in a box with has a big logo on it. Seriously performance is all in the name.

But no I have been told that OEM replacements ( not the ones form your dealer ) are better than the ones your dealer will install for you.

Head to a Canadian Tire. They sell them for $16 a piece. They are tubular steel with welded ends. The ends have a boot on them with snap rings and are filled with grease. They are very very high quality, will easily outlast the car itself. I bought a pair for Malibloo before I decided to mate the car with a lightpost. I'll be buying another pair for Jason's (ZX3TUNR) car not too long after I pick it up from him as a preventative measure.
