How Do We Swap Door Speaks?

Well not by voltage, but death by volume :)

How hard is it to swap in new speakers into the stock cavities in the doors?

What do I have to do exactly?

HELP! I can't stand the crackling!
Daily driver 1: 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport "S"

unfortunately it involves taking the whole door panel off your car, it's a bit of work but it's worth the effort to get rid of the stock speakers. I did the front and rear speakers on my ZX3 and the difference was amazing even with the factory deck.

It's not as hard as it sounds to replace the factory 6"x8" speakers that we have all the way around our cars. (ie. four 6"x8" speakers) If you want the exact procedure message me and I'll tell you step by step. As for sound improvement, I was told our stock speakers were rated at 8 watts RMS. The crappiest 6"x8" out there is at least 25 watts RMS so off the bat you're looking at a 3 time improvement. I personally think that the factory system is pretty good for our type of car, but you always want more!
