I did the same with the heat shield but it rattled like a spray can, never a squeal.... I know forsure my belt is to long and my ac compressor is bad...I have the gator back belt too, my water pump is new so its not that.
How often do you use your ac and do you drive your car in the winter? We should meet up or come to the next meet, I would like to hear the car and compare.
