Wondered What This Thing Was..?
#1
i had to clean up wires under steering wheel column and finally got into figure out what this led thing was..

it wasn't security system..
it was simple relay setup that dealer put it in wrong way..

this is what i would do when someone trying to jump start, not going to crank..
relay
85 ignition
86 ground
30 starter key side
87 starter motor side

this will energize when relay sees ignition and connects starter wire together..

but when i pulled this relay out, it was weird..really weird..
relay
85 30 starter key side
86 ground
87 starter motor side
what is their purpose of putting relay setup like this??
and i couldn't believe my eyes that they put butt connect..

and blinking led with resistor was connected to 12volt..

these wires can be found driver side lower kick panel..

maybe it's for a fake alarm light? like the light above the hazard button on the 2004 - 2000 A.MK 1 focus.
I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.

kind of..if they just wanted blinking led, then they didn't have to use relay and no need to cut starter wire..
