Rear Bumper Paint Problems
#1
Ok, so the paint on my rear bumper is cracking and peeling off. So far it's just a spot the size of a loonie, but it will get bigger.

Anybody else had this, and how did you fix it?

Pull the bumper cover off and repaint?

When the paint's 8 years old, that's what I'd do.
Daily driver 1: 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport "S"

33" BFG Mud-Terrain KM2s, lots of Rough Country gear - bumper, 2.5" lift, swaybar disconnects, Superwinch 10,000lb winch, Detroit Locker in rear D44 axle, custom exhaust, K+N filtercharger, Superchips-tuned.

COBB Stage 1+ package - AccessPort tuner, COBB intake and airbox. Stage 2 coming shortly - COBB 3" AT stainless DP and race cat, custom 3" Magnaflow-based exhaust and Stage 2 COBB tune.

Sounds like the flex agent in the paint has broken down. :(

Repaint.

If you want that spot re-painted and you're in the Ottawa area, check out Colour Works. They did some work on my rear bumper last summer, and it's held up great. It cost me about 100$, the work was guaranteed, it took a few hours, and you can't tell the difference. There are pics of the job somewhere on here if you want to check it out.

Yeah, I remember the pictures from your bump. Where are they located?

Sorry that it`s taken so long to get back to you.
They`re off of Innes road, near Bantree ave. (Between St. Laurant and the Hwy).

I have tried looking for the number but I`m not having any luck. If I can find it, I`ll post.

Good luck!
