I was a pack and a half a day for close to 10 years.
I worked in the Bar scene...EVERYONE SMOKED. I quit cold turkey...woke up feeling "dirty inside" tossed the pack hacked a big black jellyfish in the shower and vowed NEVER to smoke again. I tried a drag last year camping with 2001zts and almost puked. *thank god*

Smokers truly are a breed apart, they're ostracized and pilloried by society at large and yet the government does little to help them quit in the face of the enormous tax revenue they generate. Truly a cursed existance for those that chose that path.
I've encouraged my mom to quit for years, so far she hasn't budged, I'm just afraid that by the time she gets wise it'll be too late :( NefCanuck
