Which K&n Filter Fits...
#1
finially gonna install my CAI... It's a bomz (insert hisses here) but i'm not gonna use the filter that came with it. I did a search and looks like the part number for the K&N filter i need is RE-0930. However, this filter has a 3" flange diameter but the bomz piping has only 2 1/2 " diameter... Will this still work or should i get another filter?

That won't fit the Bomz piping, check out the K&N site they had an application guide that allowed you to see the dimensions of the filter and the inlet size, last time I was there when I was looking about a filter for my bomz. Can't remeber what I found that would work, ended up just ditching the bomz for a supercharger. :D
I bought a red car, because everyone knows red is the fastest.

I think the k&n p/n is 33-2819 there is a cone and panel filter...that number might be for the panel though!

That part number listed at the top is indeed a 3" ID (Inside Diameter) filter. As Paul mentioned, you can cross-reference the K+N site by inlet diameter to figure out the actual filter you want. There's probably 10-15 different filters that will fit that pipe, with varying sizes and finishes / styles.

http://knfilters.com/search/univ2.aspx?ID=S0013 - that ought to help some dude.
