It came as something of a surprise to learn that Ford N/A is a substantial customer of (GULP!!!) Lucas UK for electrical components. This would probably explain the constant electrical gremlins.

Long ago speculated that the Prince of Darkness products were engineered for electro magnetic fields peculiar to the British Isles. This would explain their uncanny ability to fail prematurely (if they ever worked at all...) in the most catastrophic fashion possible.

Only saving grace I guess is that they're not parts from the Kaiser of Darkness (Bosch) who've managed to learn from Lucas everything Lucas has forgotten...

I think the abs and power steering systems
I drive a 2010 Golf that growls at people when it goes over 3000rpm.
