Is there a time frame for when I can expect the dreaded brake squeel? Or is this a hit or miss problem?

Depending on what year you have, its inevitable!!! I think all you need to do is get them serviced everyonce and a while

expensive ...werrry expensive , sides the rears only provide 15 % of the braking force on the focus ... ive seen turbo foci at the track bigger brakes and all , and they still use the drums in the back .... not really worth it
