Xcal 2 Is Driving Me Bananas!
#1
ok so i got an xcal2 from focus sport for the 2.0l duratec and a tune for 91 with drag launch added on. now i also have a regular 91 tune without drag launch on it aswell. the normal 91 tune works, but the drag launch tune does not. it seems focus sport just changed the neutral rev limiter instead of adding another rev limiter in the program. does anyone else have drag launch on the duratec?? this is getting rele ridiculous because randy from FS is making it out like i dont know how to use it or that i have a bad sensor on my car <_< its only 8 months old!! i have been talking to him on focaljet but i cant seem to get thru to him that it will not work. any help would be awesome

The way drag launch works is that when your not moving (neutral), the rev is whatever you wanted it set to. Say in my case it is 3k, as soon as the car starts moving my limiter becomes 8k.

Is that how it is working for you right now?

well right now when im in not moving its at 3500 and when i am IN GEAR im at 7200. as soon as i touch the clutch, its back to 3500 rpm and my engine will bog, spit and kick for a couple seconds in the next gear. its really bugging me lol.

randy said he is going to try it in one of his cars, and if it works there it must be a sensor gone wrong in my car. the problem that i see is i went and looked at all the settings and all that they changed was my neutral rev limiter... does this follow suit with yours to or do u have a separate drag launch rev. limiter??

well its pretty much pointless set up how they did it if thats the case because how do u expect to grab a good time when you bog two or 3 times going haha ill see what randy says because it wud be such a waste of 25$
