We were diving one day out here off the west coast. We were wearing drysuits, my diving partner had been out for nasty Chinese the night before and had wicked gas. We came out of the water, walked up to the truck and we were getting out of our gear.

As is usual, he unzipped my drysuit at the back and I was returning the gesture when sweet holy mother of baby Jesus I thought I was going to die. As soon as I moved the zipper, it was like I'd stuck my head down a freakin hole in an outhouse.

What was worse was the drive home with the son of a bitch in the damn truck. I had my head out the window for most of the drive. It was like he'd marinated in it.

Now, if we go diving together I makes ure I know what he had for dinner, if he says chinese, I cancel.
