having focus for 7 years..now my hatch rattles like crazy..
when i looked at it, the plastic on pin thing is stripped, used electrical tape and worked good for couple days..

i need 1 it is used or not, only if the plastic thingy is in good shape..

Mine did too, I siliconed all the metal connectors (around them and through the pin) and used hush mat on the entire trunk, it's all quiet now. I let the silicone dry for about half an hour and then reinstalled it.

EDIT: Sorry, misread. But honestly, I don't think the latch can become loose to that point if at all, the only noise I found in the trunk was the panel inside the hatch, and that's what I was referring to above.
