It's just a band-aid on a expanding wound...a wound they created when they went away from the more agressive styling of the 1st gen Foci.
I think they are just using this as a means to make you want the MKII/C30 Platform that much more....good idea to me...

Actually it Came to me the other day, HTe New Focus Coupe is a Chevy Caviler in Ford Clothing.
Honestly, the Coupe looks like a Chevy Caviler to me.
I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.
