Dyno'ed My Car
#1
So since i didnt go camping this weekend and i had nothing better to do today, i took my car to get dyno'ed.
i finally got it running right and figured this would be the best time before somethign else f***s up.
my mods are in my sig and im still running no catalytic converter.

results are :

124.5 hp @ 4660 rpm
143.9 ft/lb @ 4180 rpm <----this number surprised me, but they siad it had to do with the fact im running no cat.

Needs a tune pretty bad.
that or the guy running it on the dyno couldn't keep his foot to the floor.

decent numbers, torque is oddly high....?
for your mods you should be in the low/mid 130s...

the high torque the attributed to no cat, it definitely surprised me

Good effort for sure, but were the numbers off that they were reading? Torque peak of 4100, HP peak of 4600, stopped the pull at 5400???

i questioned it too, the peaks were close due to it needing a tune. it stopped at 5400 because they did the pull in 4th, so it hit the speed limiter.

Those are awesome numbers...even if your torque was only actually in the mid 130's...that's still a lot more torque than a civic anyways...

Good numbers!

Why didn't they do the dyno run in 3rd like most places do? That way, you can take the RMP up higher and not hit the limiter...

they said because 4th is 1:1 ratio, therefore the most "accurate"

http://www.escortfocus.com/html/specifications.html

Specs and ratios for the Foci and Escorts. 4th is .97, so that's close enough I suppose.

The HP and Torque also don't cross at 5250 like they are supposed to. Odd.

Yeah, 4th gear is best, just unplug the tranny sensor. :)

yeah, typically, you'll see the 'double hump' curve... not here tho...
