Hey Guys.

Does anyone know a good tool for data revovery. My bro in laws WD 160gb took a s***, and the smart status is now displaying as bad... i've got quite a few crc errors trying to recover his pictures, work etc.


does anyone know a good tool that will automate the process for me. windows backup just gets pissy and locks up.

The problem is called "GetDataBack", there's a version for FAT and a version for NTFS.

+2 I have used this and it's great. If things are really bad then you're gonna have to rename files and folders but at least you'll have the files back

I've used Restorer 2000 Professional many times in the past. It works well.
