Can I cry on your shoulder?
It is still not over and done with (after a whole year) but it looks like I will someday get the house by default (and blow a pant load of cash to buy out her half) and I will end up with a house with:
-Pink fixtures in the upstairs bath
-"Mint Green" fixtures in the downstairs bathroom
-My kitchen is a mix of "chocolate & almond"
I need renos bad but for now will proclaim "retro" status. Everything old is new again.

The dark countertop goes with the stainless appliances nicely..
I've got the home renovation thing going too, I've drywalled my basement and dont know what the next project is going to be.

And ya definately drop the fridge, and maybe some tint on that window. Man that would be sick

Much better layout Mo.
It just needs 1 thing. Crown molding above the cupboards.
But nice work indeed.

You people have HUGE kitchens :(
To make me feel better I'll just keep telling myself that you have more to clean.

I agree, crown molding makes a huge difference. Valence (the under the cupboard stuff) is nice too. Makes it look a lot more finished.
I managed to squeeze both out of my builder after they had delayed finishing the kitchen install (by 3 months). Woulda cost $750

Yes, there's more to clean, especially since my wife just started working, I'm on KP every second night. :o

How can she call it ghetto. Has she ever viewed your kitchen from say, 7am after a "sleep over"?
That's when I view my "clients" kitchens. :D

Looks good, but its not really a reno, just an addition/top replacement. :P Looks good though, I'm sure you'll enjoy the extra cabinet space. Who's the manufacturer of your cabinets?

Thanks for all the compliments guys,
as for the kitchen here is what we did,
New granite counter top,
new pantry cabinet, Made by Frendel Cabinets
new backsplash
New faucet and sink
As for the centre Island it was 24 width, I increased it to 36 Inches. Now i can actualy sit and eat. Before my legs kept on touching the cabinets.
