I have been rear-ended 3 times now.  And I have no damage.

The other cars are a different story.

My fuel bills are less than $30 for over 300KM, what about yours? :P

about $40 for 300km.

I'll keep the tank and not worry about fuel mileage.

I have lots of $$$

Ok, not lots.

But some.

Yeah that's certainly not $3K of damage, but its probably better that you got through insurance, esp. the dodgy way the guy was acting to start with <_<

In addition to the visable damage I think my car isn't sitting level anymore. I will take a photo and show you what I mean. It looks as if it is leaning to the left. I called the body shop and had them add a note to the file to have them check out the rear suspension when it goes in on Tuesday. I haven't noticed any wear on the rear tires yet but I am keeping a close eye on them.

Pic's soon.

Ok sorry no pic's last night, it was to dark by the time I got home. I took some today so I will load them up when I get home from the girlfriends. I think the left rear control arm is bent or something. It looks as if the left is sitting different than the right. The rear sway bar link is deffenatly facked.

That last picture is a pretty good shot to show that you've got some suspension issues now I think. Maybe my original guesstimate of $3K to fix everything was right after all :(

Well I dropped it off at the body shop this morning and they said that they would put it on the rack and check the alignment before they took it apart. I will have to take their word for it and hope that it gets done right. Let me tell you I will be looking very closely at the rear end to be sure that the car is back to level before I take it back.

I got a rental too. First the put me in an X-Trail and I hated it so I took it back at lunch. Now I am in a Chrysler Sebring convertable. This thing is a giant P.O.S. but the weather is nice enough during the day to enjoy a bit of top down driving. So there is some good to the car they gave me.

Well at least the Sebring is still new enough that it hasn't had the chance to fall apart around you ;)

Dude,it is falling apart. It has 30000km and the front end feels like my subaru did with 330000kms. I would never buy a car like this. It is total crap. I can't wait until I get my Focus back. I miss my seats.

Is it Thursday yet?

30K on a rental car? WTF? Did they force you to go to "Rent A reck" or something?

Ok, so I get a call from the body shop today and he gives me a list of work that they are doing to my car. They have already given it a 4 wheel alignment (which it needed anyways). They are replacing the left rear rim (bonus as it had a couple flat spots on the inside from winter pot holes). They are also replacing the left rear door trim (don't know why because it wasn't damaged in the accident). And about $1000 worth of body work, all covered by the other guys insurance. But get this, they got the car first thing Tuesday morning and it won't be ready until Saturday. So I am trapped in this POS rental all week.

Oh and Nef, its from Discount.
