Fast And The Furious 3
#1
I just came back from the theatre, where my roomate and I watched The Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift. When we got there, there was a small group of tuner cars parked together, including a WRX STi, some hondas, a Mazda3, and then I stuck mine in the middle...lol

The movie, wasn't bad actually, I kinda liked it, and there was some awesome cars and photography in the movie. Oh yeah, and all the Japanese models were ok to look at as well...lol...I think the $9.75 I paid to see it was worth it, I was entertained, and I wasn't quite sure how the movie was going to end up. The opening of the movie is pretty awesome, and it's different from the first 2 movies. He gets to race Tim the Toolman Taylors oldest son in his viper through a housing development...you'll see what I mean...

It's worth seeing as a way to burn a couple of hours. It really wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

There were a few modified sport compacts out last night; it's pretty bad when I know most of the ones that showed to watch Tokyo Drift :D

I think will not be paying to see this in theatre.... Maybe I'll watch it on the movie network, or a chopped up tbs version when i'm bored one night in the future... i own the first one.. it was ok.. and i think i have seen the 2nd one completely now from all the portions i've managed to see.... Why would i want to see a movie that destoys a saleen i the first portion.... and finishes by killing a yenko camaro and a challenger.... Its funny the new movie has a 67 mustang or whatever year with a nissan motor... but to get it to "drift" they had to go back to a V8... how do you like them apples?

All these movies are good for are for making stupid kids in thier mom's old beat up 240sx or escort or whatever to think they have a race car.... AS WELL as put this huge spotlight on anyone who has anyhting but stock on thier car.......

From what I've heard from my uncle who goes overseas to Asia a fair amount... it's not that far removed from the truth as far as the cars go.

One of my dad's best friends bro lives and works in Tokyo. I guess the film was released there a lot sooner, because he saw it, and told both my dad, and his brother they should go see it. He said it's a very good representation of the way things are over there. Guess the drift scene is THAT big there in real life...

I've been drifting since i had my old stang in the say 98-99.... but it was a 4 banger and i had to wait for rain or snow.... just ask my friends... if it gets slick out my stang will be driving sideways down a straight road.... i tend to try and behave more or less now... but I have fun with the 5.0L now

That whole drifting around a car in a circle... try a shopping cart!!! :P

Try winter drifting a 1990 Chev Celeb Eurosport Wagon around light standards in a parking lot... with no e-brake. It CAN be done, and done well.

Just ask Sara ;)

Was that with the 4 cyl or the V6? (Curiousity more than anything) I tried a low speed drift around a corner in the snow of an 1988 Chev Celeb sedan with the V6. There was no drift, it just plowed straight ahead <_< and the e-brtake was one of those floor mounted pedals anyways so useless to drift with.
