Don't forget there are 2 recalls on the altimas, lol.
I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.

for a midsize family sedan i think that powertrain is pretty solid....

my votes would be to buy suspension components from the SE-R trim level (if they are different) and change the tires to azenis sport.. and just go for the tires if he can't afford both

The SE-R has some nice wheels and brakes.. I've also seen one with a stainless badgeless grill that looked really good (not those stainless grill overlays, but the horizontal slat replacement grills).

The v6 altima is honestly one of the best bang for your bucks out there. And no, its not even close to being twice as much as a focus. Maybe a few grand more, but you get a hell of a lot more for those few g's.

Have you seen the revised Focus pricing on the Ford.ca website? Christ I can pick up a factory fresh '07 SES with everything I have except the sunroof for only $3K more than I paid for my '05 used with 14K on it back in April '05

Oh and I only paid $45 to fill up this week so :P
