Wahoo...i Gots 2nd Place *better Pics Added*

Yesterday was our local carshow, and we had a wicked turnout. Last year was our record with 135 cars, but this year we had well over 200!

I was in a Tuner class with several other sport compacts (Celica's, Accord's, Civic's, GTI's, and some sport trucks with bags even).

Well this guy with a red Celica with a super nice install and 19's took first, and I took Second!

Whoa, I totally was expecting it at all, I wasn't even planning on going to the awards show. So I was happily surprised. The judging was all done by the car show participants, so it even made me feel better!

Pics will be up soon.

For some reason the pics turned out to be real crappy quality after I uploaded them, I guess photobucket resizes them automatically, but now they look like poo.

These pics weren't obviously taken at the show, cuz I forgot! Ahhh
So I took them right after so I wouldn't get the car all dirty first.

Looking good man.. except for installing your pedals upside down :P

What dead pedal is that? It looks good with those pedals.

Haha, uhh ohh not the pedal war again

I used to have the full KKM pedals, then they got all rusty and fell off, so the dead pedal is from the KKM set.

Great job man!!!

Is that a push start ignition i see? How does that work?

Thanks Jason...

Yup, its a push button starter, got it off ebay a long time ago. I've got it hooked up so its the only way I can start the vehicle. When I first wired things up, I had both the key and button hooked up, but I would always forget to use the button!

that's just damn sweet man!

and I mean both the car and the news of your 2nd place... it's not always obvious, the great talent and ideas people on this board have, until posts like this come around.

Wow your car looks really good not to overly done, nice and simple and pretty clean.

One thing I think you should consider is side skirts, I think that they would make the bottom of the car flow from the front to the back really nice.
I drive a 2010 Golf that growls at people when it goes over 3000rpm.

Thanks for the kind words guys...

D-dub - And yep I totally hear ya on the side skirts. I ran outta car funds last year, so I just painted my stockers. I think it works alright (better than the stock black thats for sure), but I'm winding down to a slow end on car modifications. I'm going back to school in the fall so its kinda outta the question. I've always liked the clean look over the overly done/ricey look. It's my daily driver, I drive it every single day of the year, so it has to be functional.

Raine - One of the things I get the most questions are is my tail lights actually, weird.

Thanks again though guys, means a lot. :D

We still gotta have a Canada wide G2G, that'd kick uber ass.

That's because they're stock, but how they're done is cool. Did you open them up and cover the reflectors in Vinyl, or did you just nightshade the whole thing?

Actually thats another thing everybody thinks (nightshades).

But they're the Inpro's from Germany. They're super sweet tail lights, fit just like stock, and they're about twice as bright as North American tails (good ol E-codes). You can see the orange lense on the bottom for the European cars, but I've just got them wired as reverse lights so far.

What gauges do you all have, fuel ratio, oil and what sthe other one. I cant see.

Also your push start is pure button now. So anyone could break in and just push the button and bam they can drive the car?

You still gotta have a key with the PATS though.

And the rims on my uncles vetter were borrowed for the show.

Gauges are: air/fuel, volts, and water temp.
