I have a mechanic I used to use back when I had a car that was out of warranty. Good work and decent prices but I don't know how much work they've done on modified vehicles.
I'll make a note to ask them when I go there to get my car undercoated.

I've used this guy now twice and his work so far hasn't let me down he's reasonably priced and he can source the parts for you or bring your own he doesn't care.

Yes, but I don't like to brag and we all know the hatred for CT. So why bother adding?

Post up your sons info, lots of good things have been said about him, so why not?
I know this thread was started because of Niks experience at CT, but bashing CT wasnt my point. I love that store!

Alrighty then.
My son, who owns a customized Focus, currently works at the CT store in Burlington on appelby line.
There are some good mechanics in the store, and some not so good mechanics in the store who are a bit lazy and just call everything under the sun so they can get paid and make the big bucks.
But Aaron isn't one of them and constantly searches for the issue involving a car problem.
Just to give you an idea, as an apprentice in his 4rth year, they constantly tell him to diagnos a problem that has already been diagnosed by a senior mechanic. Recently, he diagnosed a car that the mechanic called the customer to replace an engine, the customer approved the bill for over $2000 and Aaron diagnosed the problem to be a $75 part. And he was right! The customer actually came in and hugged Aaron and gave him full access to his company as a local gym owner.
So there you have it.
Go see and ask for Aaron at the CT store on Appelby.
I know Anthony does.

Unfortunately for those good mechanics at Canadian Tire, and there are some, they are painted with the same brush as the rest of the "crew" at their location. We should be letting everyone know who they are, and where they are. There is one in my little town, who all the other shops send there alignment issues to. Also, there are two good mechanics in the town of Newcastle, in Durham region. If anyone wants there numbers, you can PM me.
