(This post was last modified: 02-08-2007, 01:02 PM by mpcv2000.)
This morning I finally decided to go get my shocks , struts and "A" arm and stopped by the Ford dealership to pick up some bolts so I'm ready to do the front end , this will be the 3rd time I take it apart so this should be very easy , I just have to make sure I have enough beers... :P
Can't wait to try the car with the new suspension , I know they maybe not the best set up but this should be fine for my 5.000KM per year I do with the car...
Here's what I picked up today :
I won't be able to do the rear since my camber kit is somewhere between Montreal & Miami... I have the tracking number but there is no activity since Dec 10 2006 , on Monday I'll call the shipper to do a tracing for me since from my end I can't do it..
Here's what's missing to do the rear.. :
Can't wait to start working on this.... :)

Finally I didn't do much to it , I started to unscrew bolts for the "A" arm and one of them is seized so I sprayed it and decided to start loading all the tires and wheels I have laying around and get them mounted tomorrow , my garage is very small and I can't have this stuff all over the floor , I have a Custom rack to fit 4 mounted wheels and place the other one under the car , so this will save my life if it falls on me , rather destroys my mags then getting hurt... :P
The cool thing is I can just turn the light off and walk into my apt , I have a 1 bd room apt with a heated garage that I'm renting , this is very unsual this type of apt but very handy for me...
Tomorrow i'll keep working on it !

Just picked up the wheels this afternoon , I already like the Nitto tires , they have some extra meat on the side to protect the edge of the rims.
This is a 205/40 , look how flush the rubber is with the edge of the lip.. :
This is the Nitto NeoGen 215/40 , picture is not that good but you see the edge of the rim has more protection then the yokohama , I had the same size before ( proxes) and they did not have that much protection.

Front end is done . I had to fight a bolt for the A arm but I got it out , everything went well .
Shock is out...
Now it's all apart.
New one is all together , I decided not to put the boot over the shock , reason one the stock boot fit like crap on the AGX and 2nd my car never see rain or snow so this is no big deal...
Back on the car with new brembo rotors and pads.
I may start taking the rear apart even if I don't have the camber kit , it left over 20 days ago , it should show up one day...

Sure , but it may be a pain to remove the nut on the top of the strut , the rest of it is no problem. Since I'm not in a hurry , it's very fun to do , charlenging and interesting. :)

Before starting to work on the rear I took a picture with the Mag on..
For the rear it's a pain to get to the top shock bolt without a fight , I had to remove rear side panels all the way up to the pillar , and some trims + a plastic margarine cup full of all kind of screws and plastic pins... :P
Just to get to this :
Out....
Have you notice the size of the shock compare to stock , the front is almost 1/4" bigger then the stock one with a ressest ( spelling ? ) to fit the stock spindle..
Now the car looks good.... :D
View from inside looking to the rear....
Now the top.......

Nice work.
I guess you'll need an alignment now, eh? lol
Your garage looks fairly organized, better than mine.
We should post pics of our garages to give us ideas of how to "organize" them better.
Mine really, really sucks in the organisation dept.
Good work :banger:

This will be the 3rd time the car goes for alignement this year.
I don't have much pics. of the garage , I need to take the car out for better view but here's what I have :
The garage is very very small , this is why I'm putting shelfs all over to maximise the space..
Even the compressor has it's one shelf... :P
Since the pics. have been taken in different occasion you don't see the same stuff but it gives you a idea..
Don't forget the beer... B)

Yup, nice and neat.
Nice way to maximize your space with shelves.
My garage is fairly big, but not organized.
Looking at your pics gives me ideas on what to do next to help me clean up the clutter!
thanks for posting pics ;)
