What's Up, What's Up

I need a hand getting a better intake setup than what I have now. For that matter, can my current config be modified and made better?

Current config - stock airbox, resonator delete, K+N high-flow panel drop-in.

Ideas - Zetec (modified) FIPK, SPI FIPK? Is there such a beast as the latter?

I like the increased intake of the panel filter drop-in, but need some more OOMPH. Yeah, it's a SPI, but bear with me. :)

So, how the heck is everyone? Dan, you still around?

We're over halfway done saving for the wedding, so that means I'll be able to afford a Magna-flow cat back and maybe a few other goodies in the spring. :D

Go with a full CAI, or one of those Volant (?) setups. Best Bang for buck. I had a Kand N drop in at first also, and I could notice a difference when I switched from that to my Bomz CAI with K&N cone...

And when I say difference, I dont mean "OOPMH". :P

It increases some throttle response a little and I could def tell a difference in the mid and upper range of the rpm band, but nothing crazy.

It will work well with your magnaflow. ;)

edit; s**t, forgot you had the spi. I have NO CLUE what they have in regards to performance stuff...my bad. Does Volant make one for the SPI?

Flo, what's the part number for the K+N cone filter you bought? Might jury-rig something that grafts the cone filter to the MAF ala homemade short ram...

Dan, tinkering? Don't you mean "ripping it all to pieces and then re-creating something new"? :D

Jeez, is Papa still alive? Puppet lurks still and posts tho.

The FI crowd is still here for the most part that I can see.

I keep getting quotes on 17" wheels and tires, mostly to make myself cry.

I think I've found some nice 8mm wires to sub in for the damn OEMs... blasted SPIs and their tiny freaking sparkplug holes!!!!

OTOH, I saw this uber-hype $800CDN deck the other day at Crappy, 6.5" motorized 16:9 foldaway TFT, AM/FM/CD/DVD headunit, 200W... I damn near slipped on my own drool!!!

I think I know where the Christmas bonus is going! STB, new headlights/taillights bulbs (going Silverstars and LED rears), 10 FT of red EL on a single flip-toggle (already own this, just getting ready to wire), and possibly the Steeda anti-roll upgrade kit. THAT or the sport springs upgrade. Can't forget the brakelines... that's coming too.

Oh, we're pre-ordering/paying for the honeymoon by mid-December. Cana Punta, Dominican anyone? :D

Paparoach... Hes been busy with tv. Hes in the new viagra commercial, and in this late night infomercial with ron jeremy called "extendz". Not much time to play on webboards when your cock gets that much publicity.

Alright, so here's what I'm buying with my Christmas bonus / getting for Christmas (hopefully, but not all of it):

2 x Sylvania Silverstars

2 x LED replacement tail-lamps

1 x Steeda steel or chrome-moly strut tower bar

1 x 3" analog tachometer

Here's what I already have:

10 feet of red EL wire, complete with transformer, ready to be mounted in the car.

I think it's going to be pretty sweet when it's done. After the wedding is done, I can move on to the bigger stuff (lowering springs, wheels, anti-roll upgrade kit).

Almost forgot, in the spring or through the course of the winter I'm hopefully buying:

Magnaflow cat-back exhaust

SPI 4-1 shorty header

Window tint all-around

Some sort of intake upgrade - maybe adapt the ZETEC FIPK from K+N.

Thoughts?
