driving home from gf's tonight i hit a huge ice stone on the road....must of came off of a truck....the thing was a size of a watermalone
anyways i saw it in the last moment and hit it with my right wheel....fawk.....i thought i broke my suspenssion of that one....
so i bent my rim from the inside.....obviosly had to put my spare right away cause all the air came out in like 3 mins out of it
so what do you think....
should i be looking for a new rim?
can this one be fixed? if yes, how much would this hurt my pockets?
.......this sucks.......

get your suspension checked out, and try to find a place that will fix your wheel. They should be able to get it back to round and fix the bend in the rim, and should be cheaper than buying a new stock wheel.
I had to have one of the wheels fixed, and had to change over to my to my winter tires. took them to the shop where they fix wheels, they swapped them out and trued up 3 of the 4 wheels that I had. think it cost me about $250 to get all of that done.

funny thing is I was on the 401 tonight too. and it was clear sailing all the way home...
if it's just the stock 16" focus rim and not the ST220's, who cares ? there are 3 ppl selling the same rims with rubber on here ranging from $300 - 150.
btw I had a hit and run accident with the focus about 2-3 weeks ago, some backed into or bumped the front bumper of my car causing the paint to break up and then flake off.. damn parkinglots & stupid people... anyways I still have yet to fix it.

Could have been worse man.
And as far as parking lots go, I can't park far enough away. I guess people like to park next to a sexy focus.

I dunno, I'm looking at that damage and I'm going "even if it gets 'fixed' that rim is never gonna be 100% again"
Probably safer to buy a replacement rim that hasn't been bent to hell & back
Considering how bad that rim is bent, I'd agree with the others saying have your suspension checked out, you just might have bent something, at least if you go by how the rim looks

Im with this guy....replace the rim.
And I HATE those chunks of ice...Its sucks when your following somebody and it just falls off...I was lucky last week, I was behind a f150 and ice fell from the wheel well..it JUSt missed me by a couple of inches. The guy behind me wasnt lucky...he tried to sweve but realised he couldnt since the 2 lanes beside him had cars in em, so the ice hit his front bumper....Im sure it cracked, because the ice chunk barely shattered.

Man, and I thought my rim was bad when I hit a pothole at the ski hill a few years back. I'd replace that if I were you, that rim cannot be returned to the way it "use" to be, if you understand what I am saying.

Yeah I'd replace it and then give the entire lower end a once-over. It's not worth playing games with.

so this is what i did this mornin (had to take some time off work)
1) Put my spare on the rear right side, and the good rim on the front right (just cuz its front wheel drive its better that way)
2) Went to local rim specialist, "Rim Doctor" the name of the shop
he charges alone $20 just to take a look and inspect the rim...so i was like w/e just get'er done....he said he'd call me sometimes noon to let me know if it can be fixed or not
3) Went to Midas shop that i always go to (since they know me well) to check my suspesion.....guess what? it wasn't damaged at all....i even went under the car myself to take a look .....i thought for sure something would of been broken.....but lucky me that went well
4) went for oil change to my buddy's shop since it was across the road :)
so anyways this guy calls me back.....No Nick it can not be fixed....which i was expecting anyways
so if anyone is sellin one of those rims (OEM 6 spoke , 16") i'd gladly grab it of ya
please let me know because i do not wanna ride on the spare for too long
p.s. i tried looking for this kind of rims before at local junk yards and no luck....but that was a while ago....so i'll give it a shot again
thanks guys

well as long as it isn't center bent it's fixable... but for an oem ford wheel... it's just as cost efective to buy a used one in good shape...
my stock 15's have taken a BEATING... I went side ways right into a curb and slid forward a few feet like a 50.50 grind on a skate board.. the rims were scuffed but not bent... my control arm tie rod and end link unfortunatly were lol what a PITA pulling bent parts off..!!!!
ps I still ride on those rimes like 3yrs later LMFAO...
I could List my mods.. my times and even my future mods here.. but there the same as yours.. with a little less conversation and a lot more action!
