Well I have been asking a lot of people and 1.6 inch drop with stock struts will suffice. It will be even better if you have SVT struts.

KW springs is fine but I say get something else other then SVT dampers. Get eibach or KYB afx. I used SVT struts/shocks b4 so I know they ain't prefect for more then 1.5 drop.

Well, I didn't have a 1.6" drop...I had 1.25" Front, and 1.75" rear...that was with the SHM/Multimatic suspension kit...also had 215/45 17's on SVT rims with that drop....NO RUBBING!

Take a look:

Maybe that's the ride height you are looking for? I'm going to get the FR500/SHM/Multimatic kit for the Mustang now...giddyup...

I had brand new SVT damper with progress spring when I changed my ZX5 from zts. They bottom out and gone in nine months. Progress springs are shorter then KW but still...svt dampers may not last you a long time.

If you're replacing the struts anyway, try and get something matched for the drop you're doing. The SVT suspension is only about .5" lower than ZX3 suspension, so the struts aren't going to be optimal for going lower than that.

You can get by with stock struts, but they will die sooner or later and you'll wish you had installed a matched set in the first place. I have the FK 35mm springs on stock struts going on about 2 years now and my struts need replacing. It wasn't bad at first but it's pretty bouncy now..

as soon as i got my car way back in 2000..
eibach sportline 2.0" drop
[Image: side.jpg]

and with h&r coilover, so i can't be sure that this is 1.6" drop but i raised it almost all the way up..so it should be around 1.5".
