This is just my opinion, but that scoop makes the car look cheap. Functional..ok, but there are millions of other hood scoops you could put on there and cut the hood out underneath it.
Here are the facts:
You have a nice car!!!
Nice rims!!!
and it will look great with the 1.6" drop!!!
....Don't ruin it

If you really like the hood, then by all means get it, don't let other people have a say in what you do to your car, as it is your car. Imput is nice but your the owner not everyone else.

haha
well on this site and ff.com i got pretty good responses
but as soon as i posted on the local board
these are the responses i got
)To be honest I have never been a fan of off center hood scoops........just my opinion.
2)If it was blended into the hood a bit better then it would look good. I don't like the raised edge all the way around it.
3)isn't that froma geo metro turbo??
i know sunfire guys used it
the only way that would look good is if u dropped ur car (yes i know u are) but the image in my head with a raised car and that hood scoop doesn't look good..
lower it first b4 anything else
4)no.
it won't net you any gains at all.
hood scoops aren't functional on a HP stand point for "ram air" effects like people think. it may, *may* lower the intake air temps a few degree's but that's not really going to translate into real HP gains for you. its a looks thing more than anything, and i don't think it looks good personally.
5)Ram air intakes only net measurable gains at very high speeds.
It may however allow you to get some water into your engine!
6)dont do it, no real advantage to having it
7) really liked this one lol:

What he said. No real advantages, only disadvantages as far as I am concerned. Plus the costs of having the hood painted to match your colour are way too much for something that is pretty useless. Spend your money on better mods. I would get rid of that "hot air ram intake" you have. Get cold air if there is one available or put the stock intake back on. Hot air intakes make you lose power.

By all means, if that is what you like and want on your car..GO FOR IT!!!
But I also think there were a few good points mentioned in your feedback,
$$$ Paint
No real HP gain
...and the Geo Metro Turbo comment was priceless. lol
I agree that there are more practical things you could spend your money on that would benefit your performance.
But like I said, It's YOUR ride and you know what you like...and if buddy is scrapping it you better get on it !
