Well, they do change your fuel filter and IIRC they also clean your brakes front/rear.... those two jobs alone are worth paying the cash IMO to let them do it because they're just messy if you don't have the right tools (esp. the fuel filter)

your 20k isnt a fuel filter, nor is it a brake service, they will do a brake inspect including drums, and perform a multi point ispect like the 1 performed during an oil change. Only differance is it will be done by a licensed tech not a fastlube kid.
There are also a few other things like a lune of your doors and weatherstripping.
p.s. your fuel filter gets done at 50k
do it sooner though

Check out the ford.ca website, about their maintenance schedule.
Linky
According to them, fuel filter should be replaced every 50K kms, and the cabin air filter should be replaced every 20K kms. They say fuel filter can be replaced at 20K kms, under special circumstances.
funny, I thought the fuel filter should be replaced every 20 as well, regardless of 'special circumstances'.
Does a shorty anntena count as a mod??

For a fair number of folks, 20K is a year's driving. After having neglected my fuel filter inadvertently in the last car... I'll be doing mine every 20K as well.

Weird... cause the manual says 20K as does the signage at my dealership (The "special circumstances" clause) In fact the next service due on mine is the 60K service and it'll be the second time I'll have changed my fuel filter since owing it (purchased April '05 w/14K on the odo)

Timing belt should be at 120,000km and tranny fluid should be 80,000km....I think the fluid interval varies if you have a stick or auto.

I'm not sure, but you might have a timing chain, so, you don't need to change it. Which is why the next Focus I get will have a Duratec.

Dealer might be a ripoff meford, but at least I can go to Ford if something screws up as a result of the Ford mechanics making a mistake. I don't want to think of the hassles I would have to deal with if something done at CT damaged a part under the car's basic warranty.

Okay folks, gotta remember a few things:
1. Unless people have a 2000 to 2004 Focus with a cabin air filter put in after the factory, there's no need to do the cabin air filter. It's not even in 2005 or later cars.
2. Coolant colour will dictate your frequency. Green fluid will mean replacement every 40K kms or 2 years; the orange/yellow stuff is about 100K kms/4 yrs.
3. Timing belt -- it depends on if you have a Zetec or SPI. SPI should be about 100,000 km. Zetec is recommended at 200,000 km (but it's safer to do it at 160,000 km or maybe earlier). Duratecs have timing chains -- so far nothing official I've seen on the Ford maintenance websites mention anything about it.
4. Accessory drive belt - Do it every 100,000 km and replace the tensioner pulley at the same time.
5. Auto transmission - Ford recommends every 50,000 km. However, I tend to shorten it to about 45,000 km with a flush and filter/fill.
Service: Well, I go to the dealer just because it's more convenient, and I've built up a good rapport and trust with the folks. Plus, at least all my issues are documents somewhere in Ford's vast system.
