Alright guys.
Please post up ideas for meeting times and places for all of us intrested in the annual convoy up to Algonquin.
Yeas gone by we usually meet at the 400-401 Boston Pizza / Mega-plex mall for Lunch. This year we're all leaving in the morning so Lunh will not be required. However, I still think it;s a good central place for all of us to meet. We all have to go past it to get there, no matter where we're goming from.
2001ZTS / Darkpuppet... any ideas on what time we'd like to depart from 401-400???
All guys taking part in the convoy, please post cell numbers so we have comunication on the way up.
Please use this thread to determine beer stop etc... (if required) I'm planning on having mine on ice the night before, so I don't think I'll need to stop this year.

Sorry, the Sube has a 407 transponder, I will NOT be going anywhere near the 401. Andrew NEVER goes on the 401 between DVP and the Airport for ANY reason.
I will suggest the Petro Can Service Centre on the 400 just above Major Mac at 0900.
I have hands free mobile in the Sube, two of them in fact.

I work on "Atlantic Time" and often GMT because of my ships on the coast so I always get up "stupid early". Earlier is always better for me. If it were up to me I would be in Algonquin by 0900.
Truth be told I may just pass on the whole "convoy" thing. I know from my motorcycle years that group rides can be trouble. Peer pressure takes over. A bunch of modded Focus', a Mustang and a REX is a bad combo. Certainly enough to draw unwanted attention from the POPO.
Besides, it's not as if we aren't going to see enough of eachother on the weekend.

Al myself, steve and Jeremy did it one year...all modded no trouble at all. (we never went over 130kmh)
The camp ground won't let you register until 1:00pm if I don't recall. :blink:
The Petro can is a great place to meet as well.
Let's do it there, there's no having to get off the highway.

What about meeting at the Timmies at lunch? Exit at RR 2 (should see the signs for Tim Horton's beforehand too) and turn right at the top of the ramp, then left at the lights. Real easy.

Leave me to do my own thing guys as: I am coming from the other side of town, coming via 407 or up 404 and across depending on traffic, don't do complicated, DESPISE waiting for people and like to go at my own pace.
Consider me the "advance recon" party and give me a ring to see how traffic is on the way up.
So keep my #'s handy and I will be on FRS ch12 if you're in range.
Not as if we arent going to see enough of eachother on the weekend, I don't feel any need to convoy.
