1st Thing Manifold is no where near equal length but hey ohh well. Looks like you have your head bored out to a nice size. Quick question why didn't you use a 4-1 collector instead of a 2-1 Its going to be really hard to weld two of them together.

Where are you going to put the wastegate?

What size/brand turbo and im guessing you bought it used because it looks beat the hell up.

Youve got some nice pieces to put together a nice manifold don't cheap out now.

and has anyone else on this site actually ever seen this car in real life?

mine had the same thing, mine was worse actually. What your worried about is cosmetics only. As long as the shafts are good and there is minimal play, who cares about sratches.

Its a used turbo, it will have some dings in it.

in all honesty i dont believe in the equal runner hype, sure it probably does offer some benefits but no enough for me to need it.

the turbo is from a GMC 6.5L diesel pickup, and it is in amazing condition, absolutly no end to end or side to side shaft play, and spins very freely. this is a large turbo that will flow alot of air, and the journal bearing are actually beefyer tham most garret journal bearings. the marking on the inside are normal, its whats left from the casting process.

im actually not making the manifold a friend of mine Aaron from weir tech is making it for me. i was going to make my own but im not the greatest welder yet.

all this stuff + megasquirt and a return style fuel system the focus should be in low 12's for sure.

and nik went for a ride a long time ago when i had mmy frist turbo in my tiny volvo tdo5, since then i dropped a nice garret t3 and ran a 13.8, and now all this stuff.

cant wait for the summer when this car is finallyl going to be done :)

Im not talking about the markings on the outside im talking about this.

As for 12's Good luck I blew 2 trannys trying to do that this past season. But a return system will help your chances.
When you say the cars finally going to be done are you actually going to paint it and get rid of the ugly exhausts. You post alot of pics but Ive been waiting prob 3 years to actually see the car for myself. Bring that thing out So I can spank ur @ss at the track. But 09 might be your year if I don't get the tranny figured out the car might just sit till I get Extra Funds But Good Luck I really do mean it. I need someone to chase down.

well im aiming for 400hp so it should be a good race. ive seen honda with 250 hp run mid to low 12's so well see. in the end how much hp did you make with your focus?

and as for the gouge on my turbo its just a ridge in the housing i need to smooth out. next summer the car should be complete mechanically, body wise im not sure what i want to do. i was thinking full race car with a complete aluminum skid plate and air channels. but well see.

Thing about driving cars like that everyday it isn't worth it Gas, Harrasment from the Cops and a big one Break Downs at th etrack with a trailer is one thing but its another when your out on a sat night turno over they key and nothing and you end up waiting 2 hours for CAA and then they expect you to take a cab home after they drop off the car. Yaa been there done that.

kamilk69 as for whp I made 336 but never tracked it like that because I was worried i would shred the tranny but i did boot along a bit with it and I broke an engine mount so I detuned it to 280 whp tracked it got a low ot low 13's best 13.1@95 I think it was the car bogged out top end and I led off and still ran my best time so I could imagine if it was running 100% This year was more tweaing to see if it will stop bogging and messing up trannys Steeda cleaned up the tune and tracked it again mint top end but low rpm nobody home and I was running high 13's at 105+ mph So i fix one thing it messes up another But good luck with the mega squirt stuff I might be looking into A DTA system if I get the car back running.
