If you like it, that's all that matters. I would have gone for an off-road package Colorado or something - the AffordaHummer

I work for an auto auction so of course I see hundereds of cars each day, if not thousands. ususally we have about 100 liberitys on the lot at any givin time either as lease returns, rentals, or dealer stock. So I've seen some interesting combos of the liberitys, and yes the 2005 and 2006 liberitys were available in CRD (common rail diesels) there were only 1000 offered in canada in both model years. they are very rare, the only way to see one is with the CRD badge on the back of it.
I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.

Reliablity is actually better on them the the standard Liberitys as the engine is from Europe from Mercedes. they drive the same and otherwise other then the badge and the warning on the feul dials that say diesel feul only there really is no difference in looks, but I will tell you I've drivin 2 of them now, and I have to admit it's very quiet, unless it's cold out as you'll hear the engine when you first start it up, but once its going it's very quiet, and very good on feul.

I know that the newer Grand Chrokee offers the CRD engines in them now too, I have not seen one here yet but it's a more powerful engine, with more torque then the liberitys, and much more refinded.

Does the Subbie demand synthetic oil?

That would scare the hell out of me if I was on regular oil and a swtich would be made PDQ.

If it's doing it with synth in it... yipes
