I just realized that I kinda double posted about this very thread...the large amount of tuner cars and trucks at the Merivale Zellers I've seen on Friday Nights. Cool to know that some of the members on here sometimes drop by.

On a side note, can anyone tell me where the heck all of the Japan Spec cars in Ottawa lately are coming from (R32 and R33 Skylines, Right-hand drive Supras, Lexus' and Corollas and a couple of older Silvia's)? I see more and more of them all the time.

Quebec is a hot bed of importers. There are at least three shops in Montreal that I know of that import cars and motors. Since we are so close, they just make their way down the 417... :)

Hell, there is an R32 Skyline, a Eunos RX7 and a Soarer all here in Kemptville alone! :D

3000GT....seen a red one of them here in Ottawa, disabled at the side of the road for some reason or another, with the driver (early 20-something) standing beside it with the hood open, pondering something...

I've seen RHD Toyotas, Nissans, Mitsu's, etc here...Even saw an AE86 Corolla with the wide body kit, and what looked like ROTA Slipstream style rims on it pull into the Sunocco on Wellington/Parkdale.

The weather is supposed to be nice, so I'll swing by around 10:00 - 10:30pm as I get off of work at 9:00pm. I was in the area this past friday, and drove by but didn't look like a huge turnout.

Um, apparently there were some visitors this past week, in Crown Vics. :)

I haven't been to M&M in years. Must be almost 4 years ago, when I still had my Escort GT... :D

As bad as it sounds, I feel too old for this sh!+ now. :lol: If we did a supper or weekend meet, I'd be in for sure...

you should come out anyways! We usually get there around 10 if im actually running on time. Met zx3guy2000 last friday and we saw a few other focus's just did not get a chance to talk with them.

I'd swing by again this week but I'm going to be in Chalk River visiting family. No plans for next weekend though so I'll be in town and dropping by pending on the weather. There were about 5 other foci running around but none seemed to stop or be near thier cars.

yes Ryan we are not too old to sit there and laugh at people and thier cars !!

Cause I see the car there all the time... :)

I went this week, headed home around 11:30. Didn't see anybody I knew in the Focus world. Saw a red sedan (PQ plates) with Mustang 10-hole rims, and a bright blue GFX ZX5 with rims and tint.

Lots of other nice cars there though...

So since spring is upon us and the warmer weather is coming, I thought I would bring this thread back.
I will be there prolly every friday again starting when the nights get a little warmer.. who else is planning on showing up this year?
Would be really good to get a good group of us to go down and make a presence.

Cars usually start to arrive when the stores start closing, ie. 8:30 ish. Then it lasts until 11 or so, depending if the police break it up or not, or if they have a street racing sting set up.

Keep in mind it's not a show. It's a cruise night with no organization. Just a bunch of people hanging out. If you're looking for more of a show style cruise night, head to Rideau Carleton Raceway on Wednesday nights. You'll also get a better variety of cars there if you are more into classics or muscle cars (no half-rusted Civics with shopping cart handle wings and bad body kits).
