what if i leave egr system in place but disable it by tune??
will i still have problem with emission test??

The answer is likely yes. A non functioning EGR valve will cause the exhaust fumes to have too much of the "bad stuff" (NOx I think, but don't quote me)

the EGR system is designed to reduce NOx emissions.

You can disable it to run your turbo and re-enable it to do your e-tests as well.

But the fact is, you don't have to disable it to run a turbo -- it just means you have to tune for it as it results in slightly higher IATs and cylinder temps.

learn something new everyday


gotta stop being cheap, going to order dpfe and see if it fixes, then egr valve..
