Any one from here taking their kids downtown for the Santa Clause Parade this Sunday? I am taking the wife and 2 kidlets down and probably going to duck away for a little while to check what they have at Active Surplus. Anybody else going?

It was a great day for the Parade. The weather was great, excewpt the sun wasn't out. We got parking right close to the Parade Route and it was only $10 for the day. We were down a couple hours early to be sure to get a curbside spot. While the family waited I headed down to Queen St and stopped into Active Surplus. I love looking around that store. You never know what you will find.
I ended up picking up some computer pieces for my "Top Secret" project. Details to follow once I get more bits and pieces.
I will add some of the photos later this evening.

Didn't go to the parade, but now I want to go to active surplus and see what fun goodies they have there!

Active Surplus kicks a$$ if you know what you are looking for and have the paitients to search for it. I picked up a mini usb keyboard and a 2.5" HD box for less than $20 w/tax. Its worth a trip if the trip has a purpose, or you buy something. Otherwise the parking can get expensive.
