The only conversion I've seen has been a 5 x 100 conversion. It was on focaljet. He used some VW parts for his.

I would just use a hub converter. Its a lil risky weather or not the metal is as strong as they say but it would be cheaper than changing the huds, calipers, drumbs, spindals and herder to replace the brakes when needed.

All in all, good luck.

There is 4 x 100 to 4 x 108 Adapters I have seen them before on VW sites so they can run old Audi wheels.

I would suggest contact these guys Adapters and ask them if its possible or if they know someone that can do them. Mention that you saw there ad on VW Vortex there a sponsor.

Before you spend money on a conversion.

yea man, i was just wondering if anybody has done this and if it worth it. 4x108 is not a friendly pattern lol, but iv narrowed it down to either Enkei EV5 in bronze or OZ Crono HT also in bronze

didnt the guy on focaljet get his hubs/rotors re drilled out to 5-100 im prittey sher thats what he did if so you could just get them re drilled to 4-100

any case it all depends on the $$$$$$$

for that mater you could get the rims slotted and inserts pressed in to convert 4-100 to 4-108

Why don't you just re-drill the rims if your dead set on some wheels

Is re-drilling a rim really safe?

I'd be worried that you were taking away structure from the rim that was meant to be there myself....

the Enkei EV5 and OZ Crono HT both come in 4x108, but i feel like im settling for them because the options are limited. What would really be nice is a set of Rays XD

Na, a prper place will exray the rim before drilling to make sure there is no air pockets in the metal. I've seen some done before and its better than changing the huds around.

not all rims can be re-drilled, the easiest are the wheels with center caps and flat mounting surfaces, for non cap wheels you have to have the original bolt holes filled and then re-drilled, but again the mounting surface has to be flat, and that route is expensive.

Huh...
Sry I don't want to get into an argument but The mounting surface has to be flat? and wheels with the centre cap? None of that makes sence when drilling holes. Take a look at some of the multi fit wheels and tell me that they had to do special refilling to them. Some of them even go into the spokes and have no issue with structure damage.
Like I said I dont feel like an arguement this early in the morning. I am just a lil puzzeled what those would matter in the process unless the hub bore was too big and the offset was incorrect.

i have seen it done on one particulate set of rims and they slotted the holes and pressed in inserts. but im sher there is tones of different ways of doing it.

you have to remember we are only talking 4mm out on each hole that is from 4-100 to 4-108 of course.
