so im starting my plans for this years build, i didnt expect it to be very lustrous, however i got a second job to free up money so i dont have to extend my self to far.

power goals are for 350 whp. now to the parts list...

dun dun dun...

- built 2.0l block
- cosworth rods
- 9.0:1 fswerks pistons
- cosworth bearings
- ARP hardware

- staying with stock head, but may change my mind and go with FRPP
- Torsen LSD
- Cosworth Intake Manifold
- 3" divorced dp with 3" hks exhaust
- HKS GT2835 or GT2871R
- exedy hyper single clutch
- 60 lb injectors

as for the handling department:
- SVT rear discs to go in
- 225 50 15 tires wrapped on my sparco rims
- possibility of coilovers and an eibach FSB


lots of change is coming this winter, looking to beats drew's highest WHP aswell. after this i think i may be done with power upgrades as it will be pretty stupid driving FWD with that much power.

also, would like to let everyone know, there will be some parts forsale this year to. selling the gt28r turbo, 2.5" downpipe, 2.5" fswerks race exhaust and a 2.0l duratec block for build up. all will be for sale when new parts come in to pay for more new parts haha

also, was buying a motor from a fj member, well that motor just blew up this weekend so the money i have put towards it is coming back and i will have to build the block in the car now. o well

looks like im going for eagle rods to keeps costs down but my total budget is 6 grand TOPS i will spend from now until april on parts

well, slight change of plans again. since the motor blowing up really pissed me off, ive had lots of changes of thoughts etc..

personally i dont trust the motor in the car right now, i still drive it, but long term i dont believe it will last to long. im going to do a compression and leak down test and see whats up, if its still in good shape, do an oil change and some other bs and run it for another year. if its not in good shape, im going to buy another 2.0l or a 2.3l if i can find one thats decent, so far car part hasnt turned up to many 2.3l's it seems. build the motor gradually so my pocket doesnt get hit so hard and next year take it to the track. ive put a lot into handling on the car so im going to continue that while working on going faster to.

so the new tenative parts list
- LSD
- 225 50 15 tires
- Coilovers
- SVT rear discs (already have em waiting)
- eibach 22mm FSB
- tubular rear control arms
- tubular front control arms
- 3" dp and exhaust
- cossie IM
- exedy hyper single clutch

so build the car up even more for now, then when the time is right toss in a new motor. i have found that PI carries most of the parts i need to build a 2.3l and at a competitive price with fj forum sponsors. with that said i save duty's shipping etc..

looking at wiseco pistons, eagle rods, clevite bearings, ranger crank, arp main and head studs, cometic gaskets and even the 2.3l i can get as they get a wiked price from wreckers LOL

so this will continue however i doubt ill have thr 350whp next yr

Good to see that you're going to build up the suspension, tranny, and brakes. It makes a world of a difference with grip/handling.

Are you going to get the transmission beefed up? I'm looking at getting better synchros and maybe new final drive as well.

well i poked and proded jay from guelph performance improvements and it seems he can get me all the internal parts i need to build up a 2.3l and for same or less than online + shipping and taxes. we shall see what i end up doing, but i know im building a motor because i need to go faster LOL

as for suspension, i already got tonnnnssss oscar LOL just might as well make everything as tight as possible because i want to do lapping this coming spring
