Ok got a new alt today and put her in. Ran the multi meter and it does charge the battery , when the car turns off the battery falls right down to about 13.5. so I'm hoping my problem is fixed.

I think I did see that light , the car completely died , wouldn't even make the "clicking" noise. Everything was working like the radio and such for a few minutes then it turned off . so maybe the alt is still bad.

Funny because it was working fine for the past 3 days , no issues at all . It seemed like everything was working better. Maybe the combination of everything being on is too much for the alt , the pulleys slow down the accessories so maybe those pulleys are my issue.

its very possibly for it to be the pullies. if the battery was already weak and you put a new alti on it with the underdrive pulley it wouldnt be feeding the battery enough of a charge. id take the pullies off and go back to stock pullies.

one possibility is also a loose ground, look at your cluster if you see the ------ in it it is a real good sign that it is a ground issue. Will cause your car to suddenly die for no reason...

Yea I think I'm gonna switch it back to stock. When I put the new alt in I noticed the ground cable was loose near the top left of the motor, fixed that.

so I went and got the battery tested and the first test it showed up as good , I asked him to do it again and it failed , did it again and it failed. So nonetheless I got a brand new battery .. Even though that might not be the problem. Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow so I can change those pulleys.
