So I finally did it.... decided to get rid of the terminator looking metal frame rear wiper and go with something alot cleaner:
Here's the before:
And here's the (unfortunately incomplete) after:
I still need to get the Screw Cover to complete the job. For anyone wanting to do this you will need the following part numbers:
9T4Z-17526-A - Arm Assembly
7T4Z-17C526-B - Screw Cover
WW-1412 - Wiper Blade
All in all it should cost you between $40-60 (depends who you know and where you get your parts)
Super easy to install.... the cover on your stock wiper just flips up (squeeze it to release it from the clips inside) then its a 13mm bolt. Undo that, Put some MOOV-IT or something to break the old arm free of the motor (its stuck on there pretty good but just be persistent in wiggling and maybe pry lightly)... it'll come off. I thought it wasn't going to come off but after letting the MOOV-IT work its way in, it came off easily.
Who else has this mod? Who else WANTS this mod? What do you think? (I know its incomplete! lol)

Yup - good mod - did this to all my hatchbacks and did the Flex mod to all my wagons. We did a group buy about 3 or 4 years ago - maybe time to do another.
Just a couple of comments - there is a "C" missing from the arm assembly number (after the "17") and the first number should be a "7"
In the US, these parts together cost less than $20 + shipping + importation.

Before the Ford Edge came out, some of us focus guys had swapped out the rear wiper to one from a Mazda 3 Sport.
It is hard to tell from the pictures, but is that your 2003 ZX5 with a SVT emblem or is that your 2002 SVT with a ZX5 chrome hatch trim?

heh it's a 2002 2 door SVT with a Chrome Hatch Trim....... it's chrome, for now....... gonna plasti-dip that one black. Chrome doesn't contrast with silver AT All!
Hey Spinal.... if you want my old assembly you can have it. It's an SVT Rear Wiper so it'll give your car 1hp more
LOL

I had this one for a while - I was always frustrated that mine would miss the top of my windshield. It's off now and I never put the original one back on. Always meant to... never care enough to.
