Any high-end Samsung cams will have SD slots... my 4MP was about 250-300 last Christmas. Great pics, good quality movie mode (takes 640x480 AVIs).
The only thing it's lacking is any real usable amount of optical zoom.
It's a Samsung Digimax A400.

COBB Stage 1+ package - AccessPort tuner, COBB intake and airbox. Stage 2 coming shortly - COBB 3" AT stainless DP and race cat, custom 3" Magnaflow-based exhaust and Stage 2 COBB tune.

Just got the same one since I don't want to carry around my FZ-10. Picked it up at BestBuy for $169.00 so far there isn't anything to complain about.
Check out the DMC-LS1 Panasonic, I love my FZ10 and would have got this one but I would rather damage a $200 camera than a $500 one.
I have a few cars.
One for my dog.
One that has no roof.
One that looks good parked at the golf course.
One that is being rebuilt by a guy named Nero..... will it ever be done?

I've been looking at all of these cameras, cause your in about the same price range that i'm in. I'll probably get an SD400 after I sell my DV Camcorder.

I'll fire off an email to a friend who works at Black's and see what she recommends (What she doesn't know about digicams hasn't been invented yet :P )

Crap and just after I got my friend's reply do I see that you've already grabbed something. Funny thing, Canon wasn't even on her list
In case anyone is interested here's what she sent me:
So, his options are:
1) Kodak Z740. Is on sale this week at my store,
amusingly enough, for $70 bucks off, making it $409 as
opposed to the standard $479.
Fits all the specs and is a new camera as well. 5
megapixel, 10x zoom, XD card, and uses double aa
batteries. it's also quite light and easy to hold. :P
2) Nikon 4800
4 megapixel, 8X zoom,SD cards, 2 year warranty,
Lithium rechargeable battery included, $419 for for
camera, strap, battery and software
3) Fuji S5100
4 megapixel, 10x zoom, XD cards (more expensive media
type) $449 for camera, 16meg card, strap, batteries
and software
4) Olympus C-5500
5 megapixels, 5x zoom, XD card $349 for camera, 16meg
card, strap, batteries and software
His best bet is easily the Kodak.

I own a Canon PowerShot A5 Zoom, PowerShot A40 and a PowerShot A75... all great cameras in their day. Canons a good company. But if I were to buy an SLR or something I'd go Nikon.

The company I work for has a shitload of Olympus digicams, 3-5MP depending on the cam. They're Mickey Mouse with the big ol' ears, for sure. They feel quite cheap, and they're less than intuitive for ease of use and ease of offloading the pics.
Kodak, Canon, or Samsung for sure.
