Alright, here's the deal. I've got just about all the photos one man can compile. I'll hopefully have time to grab a few more tonight and then I'll get back on the wagon tomorrow.
I need the following from everyone, majority opinion rules:
- A main title for the splash menu screen of the DVD.<>
[st]
- A main song to have playing in the background while the main menu is displayed.<>
[st]
- Your nomination for the main menu splash background of the DVD.<>
[st]
- Suggestions for songs to set the music video portion to. I'm not doing any fancy cutting or editing... pictures will be 3 seconds each. All originals will be available in a separate, marked sub-folder of the DVD.<>
[st]
- Random, good hardcore suggestions to set an edited FMV segment to, containing clips from the footage taken on our camera that day. When I can post a sample, I will.<>
[st]Fire away boys and girls, I'll try to have the vast majority of the work done this week. Once I come up with a final cost including shipping and PayPal fees (I hate that 2.9% + 55 cents BS), I'll post it. I'll also post a price for the DVD that will apply to money orders (DVD raw cost + shipping). Cash is not suggested as a means of payment, and no offense to anyone but no cheques.
Thanks
Adam
PS sorry it has taken so long, but we've run into a situation here where we're viewing a good number of houses so far and there's 2-3 really prospective places. Another couple just came on the market so we're trying to jump on them as well.

Music Suggestion: Joe Budden - Focus. The chorus would really work well with the video, it goes something like this "if you focused man, would you please rock with it, etc..."

Man, music is such a personal thing for most of us.
I mean for a title song I'm thinking " Hot Rod Lincon because of the cars.
For the music video "Drive" by The Cars comes to mind, both for the song and the irony factor.
Hrm, don't do hardcore myself, but what about "Hey Little Cobra" by Jan & Dean? for the video clips, esp. anything you have with cars driving down the road (I'm thinking of that one clip of the SC'ed Focus pulling away from the camera)

There is an Xzibit song called "Focus"
i say use that for the begining...
it goes "Yo, Turn it up a little so you can FOCUS (in a semi-robot noise)"
use that for the begining and just play the beat thats with the song, and stop it once the lyrics come in...
you could use part of the chorus for the end..."And focus, on the days and times that aproach us"
listen to it and see if it works...
EDIT: are you using only people from the bbq..or are you using all the members photos
I wish my grass was Emo, so it would cut itself...

How about things from the current top 40 music charts for all the music scores ?
I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.
