I sanded everything with 600 grit paper, rinsed the parts in water and used some paint thinner to clean them. I sprayed 2-3 coats of adhesive promoter which I got at a Carquest paint specialist and 3-4 coats of paint which I bought at the same place. A clear was included in the paint but it just doesn't work in my opinion, just put a clear on top of the paint it will be far better protected. Jaspher,Aug 14 2005, 01:09 PM Wrote:looks nice. Very, very nice man. I'm like the whole package. What kind of paint did you use under the hood there, and hows it holding up to the heat. I'm thinking about painting my battery cover silver eversince the dealer scuffed it up a bit.

Just make sure to use an adhesion promoter before. I know that many people use duplicolor spray paint, my paint was mixed at Carquest, I only said what I wanted to do with it and he gave me the right paint. |
