Goof Off
#1
Can the stuff Goof Off be used on a car? I was going to use it but I am scared that it might take off the paint. Has anyone used this on their car or should I stay away from it. Thanks a lot.

well I don't have it in front of me, as I am at work. I was reading about it on the web site and it says something along the lines of it takes of latex paint but not oil based paints. Well because it mentions taking off paint thats what I was worried about smart ass :D

Yeah I am pretty sure, I think it takes off dried on paint and stuff like that, GOO GONE is more for sticky crap.

I haven't "goofed up" on anything yet I need something to use to get the side moldings off to paint em. But I can just get the 3M adhesive remover it's just a lot more money than goof off or whatever. Thanks

I'm pretty sure that stuff will remove the clear coat. I think Paolo told me that.

It should be fine if you don't use it in excess amounts, or rub too hard. I used it to take the zx3 label off my car, and the escort label off my oldie.

I never used Goof-Off before, but I've used Goo-Gone. Goo-Gone is safe on your car's paint, im not sure about goof-off though.
My other ride is your Mom
