I'm telling you ahead of time...................
YOU PROBABLY DON'T WANT TO KNOW!
http://www.toyota.ca/cgi-bin/WebObjects/WW...%2findex%2ehtml
Click: "Appraise your trade in" near the bottom right of the page.
My 2001 ZTS with: 70,000km, auto, leather= Low $6,950/High $8,625
(Paid in cash September 2000 $25,000 delivered & taxes in)
Remember that is the black book not blue or red book but that is as good as it will get for any 2001 since you can't get any more "loaded" version of the car that year and the milage is pretty low.
In case you are curious:
My 2004 WRX wagon with 30,000km, manual= Low $22,376/High $23,876
(Paid in cash May 2003 $42,000 delivered and taxes in)
Someone can confirm because I can't remeber myself:
Black Book=trade in value
Blue Book=replacement value for insurance purposes?
Red Book=reasle value?

Own or lease?
If lease, was it you asking about Lease Busters the other day?
I've lived through tough times myself, believe it or not; sure sounds like a reliable used car may be the best for you?

I think my car is worth a hell of allot more than what that damn site says...
The sad truth is they won't even give you those figures when you go to trade it in.....I went to one place with my old focus and they wanted to give me $4500 !

you are right,
the black book is for dealers trade in value, usually this book is not for public use. This is what my dad uses usually to get an idea of how much cars are worth in dealer auctions.

Before I had 100,000 on my car, the Ford dealership in Pembroke wanted to offer me $10,000 on a trade in on a 05 Mustang GT V8...add the purchase incentives...that's anywhere from $13,000-$16,000 off the top...just need to pay the other 20K and I'd be laughing.
Getting a trade value at somewhere like Toyota is a waste of your time. They think their cars are so superior and reliable, blah blah blah...they are boring and slow, and if you want a fast one, you're gonna pay for it. Why pay $40K for one of the GT-S celica's, when you can buy a V8 GT stang for that or less...
I doubt that my car is worth a fortune anymore, but it's worth more than 5 fricken grand I can tell you that...
Bleeding Ford Blue again...

Well just for fun, no focus related stuff here.
My buddy owns a 2005 dodge ram daytona edition payed 42500 for it. Has about 10000k on it now, he was lookin to trade it on something like a neon. The local dodge dealer said for the neon they would want an additional 10000bucks on top of the truck for the car  is this normal or is the dealer out of thier mind?

But, is that "selling" or "trying to sell"?
Hell, I'm selling my house to the first person to give me $2 Million for it ;)
