Not sure that is such a good idea. I think Jag needs is an entry level luxury car (uber pimp Focus/Volvo S40 based) like all the other luxury makers have done or at least try that idea before selling.

They have an entry level luxury car that is in the same price range as the volvo s40 already, not sure what the model 'name' is but it's the one with the smaller headlights on the front.

Wel Bill Ford said all Ford's companies should be profitable in '06... so I don't see them selling. I just don't the idea of it on the cutting board... Ford has too much to lose, more than actually owning the company which isn't doing too well.

good move on renault part, horrible by ford. they should keep jag, they made jaguar better than it was before. and if renault has nissian/infinity, they have a luxury brand. not sure if infinity is in europe.

The least expensive Jag is the X Type which starts at $42.

I was thinking something more like a Volvo S40 ($31G start) type entry lux.

Maybe take that Volvo C30 concept I like so much and jazz it up and make it a Jag Coupe instead of a Volvo hatch?
