New Speaker Setup Idea (alpine Parts)
#1
Just wondering everyone's thoughts on the following items

Alpine SPX-137R Type X 5-1/4" 2-Way Component (front only)
http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/prod...?model=SPX-137R

Alpine MRV-F545 4/3/2 Channel Power Amplifier (for the components)
http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/prod...?model=MRV-F545

Alpine SWX-1042D Type X 10" Subwoofer
http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/prod...model=SWX-1042D

Alpine MRD-M1005 Mono Power Amplifier (to power sub)
http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/prod...model=MRD-M1005

Just something I was looking at. Roughly looking at about 2200$ here plus tax. But just tell me if you have any suggestions, or ideas that might be cheaper. This would prolly go as costly as I would.

Or as a side option instead of the MRD M1005, and the Type X 10",

Alpine SWR-1242D Type R 12" Subwoofer
http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/prod...model=SWR-1242D

And another MRV-F545 for this sub.

If your looking at type X stuff compare it to Focal or Jl XR series. I really like the JL's.

type r if you're doing a ported enclosure
type x if you're doing a sealed enclosure (gotta make use of that xmax ;) )

but of course, if you're spending $2200, there is likely much better you can do. what are you hoping to accomplish here?
