i wouldn't assume it but i wouldn't rule it out either.
our black demo car has a good 20,000kms under boost on it with 250fwhp and 210lb/ft and a bunch of track days on the stock clutch without issue. the tranny should be fine unles it already has problems.
if the clutch is on it's last legs then it wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade but it is not needed if you still have life left in it.
it's like anything, unless you drive the car like a complete ass; power shifting and doing high rpm clutch-dump launches, you shouldn't have to worry about the stock clutch failing on you shortly after the install.
does that mean it's not possible, anything is possible but you should be fine if you are currently not having issues.
