Many advance traction control programs and active yaw control (or ESP) systems operate on the known parameters of things such as break torque of the wheels, engine output (load/torque/whatever0 at given throttle percentages, etc.
If you add a boatload of HP, or even change the brake balance a significant amount, AYC and TC can begin either overcompensating or undercompensating...
While the big brake kit on my focus didn't seem to affect it's stability assist program (aka AYC, ESP), the traction control did strugge a bit with the supercharger. It would constantly over-brake if the wheels started spinning.. a minor nuisance that could be fixed by hitting the advance trac button.
