Indeed, that's what's so freaky about going to anime conventions and seeing the people who make the voices that you listen to. It can really shatter whatever mental image you may have had of them :P (Or in some cases your mental image is right on the money )

I must say though, I wasn't too thrilled last year meeting the VAs, nice people, entertaining, funny. But I don't watch dubs, so I had no idea who they were, and just tried to be nice for the most part and listen and ask questions related to what they do to seem interested.
Well I shouldn't say I had no idea, when they turned on a certain voice, I could recognize it pretty quickly. I guess perhaps the problem was I hadn't built that connection between voice and imagined looks. So there was nothing to ruin/match/better.

Yup, I'm an ANorth con vet AKA "con whore" having gone to 'em since they started way back in '96 out of a few rooms at the U of T ;)
I watch both subs and dubs so I have a pretty good handle on who is who when they say something (If I haven't seen a picture of them beforehand) '05 ANorth was IIRC the Inuyasha english language VA crew for the most part and met a few VA's who've never been to the cons out here before like Cathy Wessluck. Meeting Cathy was like meeting my mother, quite jarring *&* ironic given some of her VA work
